Does not work for Macbook Pro M4

Be wary of buying this for new laptops. It appears that Anker is selling them without undertaking proper quality assurance and testing new models of computers. This leads to you receiving it, not working and then being asked to test it for them across multiple devices and then being told to ship it back at your own cost. A bit disappointing to be honest, I would expect more from Anker, particularly being a loyal customer for many years.

Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station (12-in-1)

A capable dock with plenty of ports. It comes well packaged, setup was easy and it has a sturdy power supply. Connection was easy as well. I haven't used it fully as I'm waiting on some more equipment.

Great quality and a price to match when it’s on discount.

Feature-Packed Docking Station, but Limited Mac Support Without Tweaks

The Anker 778 Thunderbolt Docking Station is a great option for power users looking for a versatile and high-performance hub. With its 12-in-1 design, 40 Gbps transfer speeds, max 100W charging, and support for a single 8K or quad 4K displays, it offers robust functionality. The six USB ports and Ethernet connectivity make multitasking seamless, and it works great with Windows PCs right out of the box. However, I was a bit disappointed when I first used it with my Mac. It didn’t offer the same seamless functionality as with my Windows PC, which felt like a letdown given the price. Additionally, it tends to run warm during extended use. That said, after plugging in a second cable to my Mac, I now have full functionality, and it performs well with both setups.Overall, while it’s expensive and requires some adjustments for Mac users, it’s still a solid investment for professionals needing a reliable, high-capacity docking station. It works exceptionally well with Windows and, with a bit of tweaking, can deliver great results for Mac users too.
